Upon returning to Oa with Alex Nero in tow, Kyle meets with the Guardians of Oa who at long last discuss with him his nature as Ion, the next evolutionary step of the Green Lantern Corps. They also reveal the truth of his position as the Torch Bearer. Feeling more at ease with himself than he has in a year, Kyle returns to Earth to get his life there back in order.
