Impulse receives surgery; doctors can't use anesthetic because he metabolizes it too quickly. Starfire discovers that Superboy, Wonder Girl and Robin have left the tower. Robed cultists pursue and capture a woman in a forest. And is there a ghost in the library? No... just Impulse reading at super-speed, and apparently retaining everything he reads. Deathstroke (really Jericho) gets into a fight with Robin, who holds his own, for a little while. Finally, Jericho/Deathstroke is about to shoot Robin in the head when someone disassembles his weapon at super-speed. But Bart Allen is no longer Impulse. He has reinvented himself as the new Kid Flash.
