Danny Rand is only recently returned to New York, using the martial arts skills he learned in K'un Lun (along with the chi of the Iron Fist) to fight crime in his childhood home. And the city is overrun with crime. One gang, the Golden Tigers, has big ambitions, and may have the muscle to make those plans come to pass.

The Tigers move on Joy Meachum, one of the few obstacles to their rise to power, on the same day that Danny Rand is visiting in an attempt to regain his family's inheritance. But Danny can do nothing to stop the attack, without revealing himself as Iron Fist!
