In this debut issue, Silver Sable, renowned leader of the Wild Pack and the world's foremost mercenary, faces a crisis as her once-elite team has grown unwieldy and unrecognizable. Suspecting a traitor within, Sable is determined to root out the betrayal. Enter Dominic Fortune, a brash young private detective eager to make his mark in international espionage. Though their personalities clash, with Sable's seasoned discipline contrasting Fortune's impetuous nature, they form a reluctant partnership to uncover the truth. This issue sets the stage for a high-stakes adventure filled with espionage, action, and the dynamic interplay between two contrasting operatives.
Originally planned as a six-issue series, Sable & Fortune was shortened to four issues after the release of the first installment. Despite the reduction, the main storyline remained unaffected, concluding within the four published issues.
