X-Factor has crossed paths with their rivals, Singularity Investigations, one time too many prompting one of it's high-ranking leaders, Damian Tryp Jr., to deliver a savage beating to Siryn not two blocks from X-Factor's base. But when Rictor passes the scene of the attack, looking to join her for some breakfast she's nowhere to be seen.
When he can't find her at the diner she said she was going to, he begins doubling back to find some sign of her. But she's been abducted by a former mutant with a very large grudge against those who still have their powers.
