The Legionnaires briefly lose the Justice League and Society and position themselves in various places across the world. The JLA and JSA, however, are quick to track them down and try to persuade them from continuing their plan to sacrifice one of their lives to bring back someone they assume to be Lightning Lad.Batman and Green Lanter, in separate locations, realise they have visited them before - for Batman it was during the Crisis On Infinite Earths when Barry Allen (Flash II) appeared before him as a vision; for Green Lantern, it was the lab where Barry received his powers.Despite the heroes' best efforts, the Legionnaires call down the lightning and, to the surprise of many, bring back Wally West (Flash III) along with his wife Linda and their now teenage children who had all been missing since Infinite Crisis.The Legionnaire's teleport back to Superman's Fortress and use portals to return to their home. Before Karate Kid enters, however, he hands one of them his lightning rod and is then warned not to enter the portal by a shadowed figure.The League and Society greet Wally while in the future, possibly in another universe, Brainiac is given Karate Kid's lightning rod that appears to hold someone's spirit.
