As Blue Devil and his lawyer travel to the infernal depths to learn the fate of Daniel's family, and begin proceedings for breach-of-contract against the Devil, the rest of Shadowpact alongside their newest member, Zauriel, are drawn into conflict with the mysterious Doctor Gotham, an immensely powerful combat sorcerer. Tasked by his master, The Sun King, to destroy the Shadowpact Gotham pulls out all the stops, raising a massive volcano in the middle of downtown Chicago.
