However, during their getaway, Aspen is shot by a laser, leading to a high-speed chase with the military. Recognizing that Aspen is dehydrated and needs water to survive, they drive to a dam and immerse her in the water, restoring her powers. Meanwhile, Siphon assumes his father's position on the council but finds them unprepared for the impending attack from the surface.
