After surviving the persecution of jews in Auschwitz, Eric Lensherr tries to build a new life in Russia. But when the people of his village burn his home, resulting in the death of his child, Eric begins his crusade for the rights of mutants everywhere. Joining with the ancient mutant warlord, Apocalypse, the two hope to strike a blow for all who are genetically superior.
