Anthony Falcone, a member of the President's cabinet 80 years in the future, has sent an agent back in time to eliminate the 'mutant menace'. Cortex has been eliminating mutants and former-mutants who were de-powered on M-Day. One of his current targets, Lenore Wilkinson, has sought the protection of X-Factor bringing her some measure of safety. But Cortex has psychically infiltrated M, who is one of Lenore's current bodyguards. Siryn is only barely able to figure it out and make it in time.
In the future, Madrox is meeting with a venerable Victor Von Doom. Though he has fallen far, he is still the foremost expert on the mechanics of time-travel, and he has the answers Jamie seeks.
