In order to 'deal' with the mutant population at a point 80 years in the future, a scientist sent one of Jamie Madrox' duplicates back in time, modified by technology obtained from Dr. Doom, to assassinate key mutants. Madrox and Layla, both stranded in that future, have brought Doom to the Summers' Rebellion's home in an attempt to tap his vast knowledge to stop the threat.
But even in this distant future, Victor Von Doom is a dangerous man.
