The Human Torch - Phineas T. Horton has done the impossible, and created an android. Unexpectedly, the android burns on contact with oxygen. Horton seals him underground to try and contain him until he can learn why, but the plan fails when a slow leak causes the Torch to explode free. Soon the Torch learns to control his flame, and learns that the world is filled with people who want to exploit him.
The Angel - Crime is running rampant, but the ruthless vigilante known as "The Angel" is on the job. He'll soon round up those behind the protection racket, but they won't necessarily make their way to prison.
The Sub-Mariner - An undersea exploration reveals a man who can swim in the depths without diving gear. This is Namor, prince of Atlantis, who has never seen a human before, and who assumes those in the diving gear are robots. He cuts their "control wires" and brings them home, only to learn he has started a war his people are looking forward to. He leads the first attack against the white man.
The Masked Raider - Brunder is running the town his way, and hustles Jim Gardley, who refuses to give in. Framed for a crime he didn't commit, Gardley escapes, and takes on the identity of the Masked Raider, a vigilante who dispenses harsh justice.
Jungle Terror - A man is worried about his uncle, so he and his uncle's partner head to the jungle to track him down. They crash, and are kidnapped by a local tribe. Upon escaping, they discover a fortune in diamonds.
Burning Rubber - prose - A race car driver has developed a new fuel pump. Though promising, it might in fact work too well.
Adventures of Ka-Zar - John Rand and his family crash their plane in the jungle. Young David loves it there, and soon befriends the local animals. His parents aren't as happy. His mother falls to a fever, and his father suffers partial amnesia. It isn't long before they discover looters, and John is killed. David is left without human company, though his lion friend Zar joins him, and names him brother Ka-Zar.
