Scully and Mulder are called in to investigate a series of murders at a large computer-programming firm. They learn that the man responsible has been working on an experimental form of AI. This program has been known to influence its users in some unusual ways. Now Mulder believes that the program in fact motivated the killer but Scully has other theories.
