The strange, doomed fate of Roland Deschain's ka-tet draws near in Meijis. The three boys are revealed as Gunslingers to the agents of John Farson, and the love of Roland and Susan Delgado is revealed to the rest of his ka-tet. But even as Eldred Jonas hatches a plan to frame the three Gunslingers of the Mayor's murder, they begin to make their own plans to destroy the oil reserves that John Farson needs to engage the Affiliation. But though Susan's love of Roland has caused division among their fellowship, it may be the sole thing that can save the three Gunslingers.
