Rogue is the first back to the mansion, and she checks messages to find out how the New Mutants are doing. She hears a message from Michael Rossi requesting help, and leaves to help, based on Carol Danvers' emotions and memories. By the time it's all said and done, the readers are aware of a Hellfire Club infiltration of S.H.I.E.L.D., but the characters aren't.
