Mulder and Scully investigate a series of murders that appear to be the work of a comatose man. Mulder believes the murderer is using a Tulpa, an ancient Tibetan ritual that creates a spiritual "copy" of one's self, a spiritual projection of the host body. Now Mulder must find who is controlling the Tulpa before it claims its last victim.
