Daredevil and the others come most of the way back to the present, but are slightly out of sync, making themselves difficult to detect or interact with. Daredevil's reflexes help him get completely synchronized in time, leaving him with the opportunity to stop the Exterminator and rid himself of his Mike Murdock identity for good.
