The X-Men check in with Warren Worthington III, using his contacts in high society to gether information on the Hellfire Club and an invitation to their group. They get in, and are easily routed in a surprise attack that begins with Wyngarde pushing Jean into becoming the Black Queen. They capture Scott, Ororo, Piotr, and Kurt, celebrating their victory in the mistaken belief that Wolverine is dead. In truth, their attack didn't kill him, but it did make him very, very upset. Wolverine is not the kind of character that you want to have upset with you.
