In his release from the Phantom Zone, the Parasite manages to pull Mon-El through the rift just long enough to siphon a taste of his power. Saving it until Superman has left, he uses it to break free. But that taste is not enough. He plans to bring the Daxamite back to Earth to feed upon until he retains those abilities.
