The dead continue to rise across the Earth. The planet's champions fight bravely, but it's that very courage that their enemies seek, using it to fuel their black rings. Hal Jordan, one of the Green Lanters for space sector 2814 has been whisked away by Indigo-1 to gather the various Corps in an attempt to shine enough emotional light to beat back the darkness.

Back on Earth, Barry, Ray and Mera work to rally the planet's remaining champions. But the Black Lantern's goal is achieved, allowing their master entry into our world.
