Jim Gordon has a plan to capture Catwoman. It depends on Bruce Wayne. They'll modify one of the artifacts lent by the Wayne collection to contain a tracker, and then allow Catwoman to steal it. First, she comes to a reception in disguise. The police see through that, but lose her almost immediately. She returns, and seizes the statue they knew she'd want. And then all the police in the world are there! No matter how she goes, she can't get away! Finally, cornered, the police grab and arrest her. Since she can't prove she has money and won't offer identification, she gets a public defender. On his recommendation, she pleads guilty, thinking she won't go to prison. And technically, she doesn't: she's to be confined at a rehabilitation clinic for two years! Feeling betrayed, the outraged Catwoman is hauled from court...
