During the Cold War, the CIA began using psychics to gather information about a distant or unseen target in a process called remote viewing. In 1995, however the Stargate Project shut down due to lack of documented evidence that the program had any value to the intelligence community. Now several of the projectâs psychics have been murdered, and the evidence points to a government cover-up. Scully and Mulder must find the last surviving members of Stargate and uncover the truth before it is too late.
