Batman, Superman, Green Lantern, Black Canary and Green Arrow all receive the Justice League emergency alert sent out by Sue Dibny from the old League headquarters. There they find the current League members aged and unconcious except for Gypsy who tells them what has happened.

Zatanna, meanwhile, has followed clues in her search for her friend, Sheri, and finds her aboard a yacht. There she is attacked and knocked unconcious by followers of a man called Adam.

The old League members are attacked by the now humanoid creature but with Batman's aid they manage to trick him, restoring the new League members to their healthy forms. Realising the League needs guidance, Batman is convinced to re-join and lead it.

On Kalanor, the villain who escaped from the prison planet Takron-Galtos is revealed: Despero.
