This issue begins with a recap of the Fire from Heaven crossover events. Grifter persuades Void to teleport Team 7 to the moon, though Union insists on joining. It’s revealed that Union is the emotional counterpart to the Sword—two mirrored versions across dimensions. They confront each other in a fierce battle on the moon, as the Sword moves to eliminate the weaker version he sees as an impostor. During the fight, Union discovers that the Sword’s Justice Stone is inside his body. In a moment of weakness, the Sword’s blade starts to fade, and Winter intervenes. Union seizes the opportunity to stab the Sword’s Justice Stone, killing him and absorbing his energy.
