In this issue, the team of the Defenders (including Doctor Strange, Hulk, Valkyrie, Hellcat, and Nighthawk) become entangled in the mystery of Lunatik. Returning from a mission, Strange and Banner are dropped at Strange’s Sanctum, while elsewhere Valkyrie and Hellcat attend a campus dance where accusations fly, suspects multiply, and the identity of Lunatik becomes muddled. Several suspects are captured, including Harrison Turk, who ultimately confesses he is Lunatik.
