In this issue, Doctor Strange searches for Clea, who has been manipulated and captured by the demonic group known as the Sons of Satannish. Clea is used as bait — she steals the Book of the Vishanti from Strange’s Sanctum to lure him into a trap. Meanwhile Strange allows this theft to proceed so he can follow Clea to the Sons’ lair. Once inside, Strange confronts their leader (Asmodeus) and the Sons, only to have his mystical artifacts (his Cloak of Levitation, the Eye of Agamotto, the Book of the Vishanti) taken from him, and he is placed in deadly peril as the villain declares his intent to destroy him.
