In “Nine Deaths of the Cat”, Catwoman is shot while on her way to meet with Zee — though she walks away unharmed and captures her assailant. Zee reveals that a man named Rumboldt has placed a bounty on her, and Zee brokered the deal. Catwoman agrees to eliminate nine assassins to split the bounty money with Zee. She tracks them down one by one, systematically taking them out. As law enforcement, led by Harvey Bullock and Renee Montoya, follow tips provided by Catwoman, they arrest the assassins. In the end, Catwoman chooses not to split the payment and aims to collect it all.
