The clues point to an unusual energy signature suggesting the involvement of a scientist dabbling in experimental matter transportation. The Atom uncovers that the culprit is using a device capable of altering atomic density—allowing him to phase through solid matter and commit “far-out” robberies. Using his size-changing powers and intellect, Ray must outsmart the thief on a molecular level to bring him to justice.
