Still reeling from the events of the Jackal’s clone saga, Spider-Man confronts his greatest fear — the possibility that he might be the clone and not the original Peter Parker. In a dramatic showdown at Shea Stadium, Spider-Man battles a duplicate of himself. The fight forces Peter to question his identity and everything he knows about his past.
Worried he might actually be a clone, Spider-Man seeks the help of Dr. Curt Connors. While waiting on the results of the tests to determine if he is real or not, Spider-Man is attacked by Spencer Smythe and his new Spider-Slayers!
In the end, Peter makes peace with who he is and recommits himself to being Spider-Man, symbolically leaving his doubts behind.
