The Covenant of the Sword comes under a vicious assault by SuperPatriot, who slaughters his way through waves of soldiers. One agent sends out a distress call, but it’s cut—this is part of a larger plan. SuperPatriot fights on, confronting the superhuman Rockpile. Rockpile’s human core is torn from its shell, and is defeated. Meanwhile, the leader of the Bloodstrike team warns Jake Farrell that SuperPatriot’s movements must be monitored. SuperPatriot then storms the Pentagon, battling guards, breaking through to captive scientists who once brainwashed him in Cyberdata, and slays all opposition in a brutal sequence. Image Comics
