After learning about Marianne's committal to a mental institute, Tony barely pulls himself together in time to meet the late Simon Gilbert's daughter, Roxanne, who has no intention of keeping the Stark Industries shares she was bequeathed. Unknown to Tony, her brother Gary, better known as Firebrand, escaped custody after their last meeting and came looking for revenge. Stark managed to defeat Gary, but Roxanne's intervention resulted in her getting seriously wounded. With Gary once again in custody, Iron Man rushes the injured Roxanne to a hospital before it's too late.
