Amid a wave of unrest at New York’s Empire State University, Peter Parker is drawn into escalating tensions between student protestors, administration, and police. While covering the protest as a student and trying to keep a low profile, Peter finds himself in the middle of an explosive confrontation.
Meanwhile, Hector Ayala — the White Tiger — makes his first full-costumed appearance in Peter Parker, The Spectacular Spider-Man. When violence threatens to boil over, White Tiger intervenes to stop agitators and protect innocent lives. Spider-Man soon joins the fray, but the two heroes clash at first, as each misjudges the other’s intentions.
Through tense action and moral conflict, Spider-Man ultimately realizes White Tiger is not the enemy, and together they prevent the situation from spiraling further out of control. This issue highlights both racial and social tensions of the era, making it a memorable Bronze Age story that blends superhero action with grounded, real-world themes.
