On Halloween night, Troll crosses paths with the strange world of The Maxx. What starts as typical Troll bravado turns into a darker, time-twisting nightmare: visions of Jack the Ripper–era London, brutal murders, and the psychic games of Mr. Gone bleed into the present. Troll and Julie Winters are dragged through shifting realities (including hints of the Maxx’s “Outback”-style weirdness), forcing Troll to deal with something a lot less tangible than super-villains: fear, guilt, and what’s “left behind” when violence marks a place. The special leans into creepy atmosphere, slasher-style tension, and surreal crossover moments without spelling out every mystery.
