Ben learns that he's been brought to a planet of Skrulls, though it doesn't look that way. These Skrulls once captured a gangster named Machine Gun Martin, and brought him and contemporary 1930s gangster films back with them. Fascinated by the films, they modeled themselves and their culture after them. Ben is going to be forced to compete in "the games," which they promise are always fatal. Meanwhile, back on Earth, the rest of the team continue the search. Reed has discovered the taxi driver that brought Ben and the other Reed to the clearing in the forest, and realizes that Ben is a captive of the Skrulls.
