Warblade and his ally Ripclaw assault the Daemonite-controlled group known as The Faction, believing their former comrade Pillar betrayed them. As the battle unfolds, Warblade uncovers that the Daemonite body-armor self-destructs when paired; he and Ripclaw exploit this to decimate The Faction. In the climax, Warblade pins Pillar down and prepares to kill him but cannot bring himself to do so, remembering their past bond. Ripclaw returns with rescued captives to his tribe while Warblade heads to Japan for further emotional training.
