This issue includes a flashback to 1941 where SuperPatriot infiltrates a Nazi lab and tries to stop them from activating a giant robot. Then the story shifts across eras: in 1969, the Liberty League debates cutting ties with government funding, causing a split with Battle Tank. Back in the present, the Covenant begins work to augment SuperPatriot as a living weapon, and Johnny Armstrong monitors fallout from his defeat (which the Covenant broadcasts as propaganda).
