Dr. Curt Conners is working on research to regrow lost limbs, and it goes awry. He becomes a Lizard monster and makes the news, which draws Spider-Man out to track him down and try to help. Spider-Man tracks him to the sewers where he meets the Lizard and the Man-Thing. The Man-Thing's touch cures Dr. Conners. The coincidence makes Peter think back to what Dr. Banner told him in issue 3, that all of this is connected...
