The Avengers defend themselves against Kree attack, and are sentenced to death by the current rulers of the Kree Empire. Then Deathbird intervenes, unaware that she is a pawn of the Supreme Intelligence, and those rules die. The new Supreme Intelligence orders the death of the Avengers anyway, claiming they are Shi'Ar agents, and girding the people for full out war against the Shi'Ar for reasons unknown.
