A grim warning is simultaneously delivered to Thor on Earth and Odin on Asgard of a dire menace that threatens the entire universe. Thor immediately departs with the Rigelian Recorder to face the menace. They arrive just as Galactus attepts to devour Ego the Living Planet. Caught in the crossfire, their ship is destroyed and they are left floating in space, their fate unknown as Galactus and Ego battle on.
