Toby and Jerry Goodman are among the few who realize what's happening to their world. Jerry understandably freaks out, but Toby follows impeccable comic book logic: the doorway the villains used to get here may also serve as a doorway Toby can use to get to the Marvel Universe, and recruit heroes who are actually equipped to deal with this particular threat.
