Superman and other heroes are summoned to the world of New Genesis under the guise of an ambassadorship. When they arrive, they learn that the anti-life equation that Darkseid so often seeks has not only been found, but it's a conduit to a sentient being who wishes to gain entrance to the positive matter universe by destroying the Milky Way.
