While in Bunkport for a book signing, Rick is attacked by locals. Those locals knock him out and kidnap him, running him through an attempt to break his mind and spirit by transforming into Rick's former selves. Bruce and Betty come looking for him, but they are also captured by Kl'rt. By the time the Super Skrull captured them, though, Rick had managed to free himself.
