Aqualad saves the Titans from a watery grave after the T-Jet crashes. The Titans capture and interrogate the Hybrid member Pteradon about Steve Dayton. Mento sends two of his other creations, Gorgon the Terrible and the Horrible Harpi, to retrieve Pteradon: they succeed and capture Aqualad, but fail to defeat the Titans, who ask Adeline Wilson and Searchers, Inc. to help them find Mento. Mento creates the newest member of the Hybrid – Behemoth – and vows to destroy the Titans.
