Wetworks is operating in the far north of Canada, where they track a vampire enclave. Pilgrim undertakes a solo infiltration of caves (aided remotely by Dozer via a “spying orb”) and encounters an evil doppelgänger version of herself from a parallel dimension. She uses recent invisibility abilities to gain the upper hand, pulling wires in her suit to try and disable her duplicate, though the duplicate has a failsafe that cocoon-wraps it and returns it to its own reality — and Pilgrim is caught up in that cocoon’s effect. Meanwhile, the vampire side is in turmoil: Drakken is pushing for a no-confidence vote against the current Blood Queen and her brother, aiming to seize the throne. There’s also a backup story titled “The Lone One,” which involves a giant monster awakened high in the Alps.
