After a mysterious Daemonite infiltration threatens a U.S. rocket launch, government agent Lucy Blaize is ordered by Miles Craven to form a covert response team capable of countering metahuman and alien threats. She recruits elite operatives including Marc “Slay” Slayton, John Colt, Mr. Majestic, Mason, Regiment, and Think Tank—all of whom will later play key roles in the foundation of StormWatch.
Meanwhile, the alien warlord Helspont and the mobster Slaughterhouse Smith secretly coordinate the Daemonite presence on Earth. Their alliance prompts Craven to sanction Team One, marking the beginning of the WildStorm Universe’s organized metahuman operations.
