During the outbreak of the Maximum Carnage storyline, the violent symbiote villain Carnage continues his brutal reign through New York. In this issue (Part 4), Venom, Black Cat, and Cloak attempt to assemble a “Team Venom” to hunt Carnage down — ultimately recruiting Morbius. Meanwhile, Spider-Man (Peter Parker) is focusing on protecting civilians and trying to prevent further carnage, even as he balks at joining forces with Venom. The issue features shifting alliances, moral tension between Spider-Man’s ideals and Venom’s ruthless methods, and a dramatic confrontation with Carnage and his allies.
