As Dr. Mid-Nite is fighting someone he believes is Ultra-Humanite, he runs through the history of the villain as he knows it, including the fact that Ultra-Humanite was killed by the second Crimson Avenger. He realizes he is actually fighting a large human, not an ape, when he is tasered and taken captive. He awakens strapped on an operating table, with a doctor preparing to remove his eyes, and he finds out his captor is Delores Winter, longed believed dead, a victim of the Ultra-Humanite. She has been using the losers of Roulette's matches to sell parts of meta-humans to the rich and famous. She is wearing Icemaiden's skin and has problems controlling the powers that have come with it. She ends up losing her right arm below the elbow, but manages to escape.
